Mid- Florida Psychiatry Center PL is a psychiatric clinic established in 2003, to cater the mental health needs of the individuals living in Polk, Lake, Osceola and Orange counties.

The common psychiatric problems seen in this clinic are: Generalized Anxiety Disorders, Depression and other Mood Disorder such as Manic Depression/ Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, OCD, Panic Disorder, Eating Disorders, Psychotic Disorders such as Schizophrenia. The physician has an added qualification in Geriatric Psychiatry and provides evaluations and treatment for Dementias and memory problems (including the Alzheimers Disease). From time to time we evaluate and treat the people with alcohol and other substance abuse problems, either they are the only diagnoses or coexisting with other psychological disorders. The common treatment modalities include medication management and supportive psychotherapy. We also provide monitoring and adjustment of the Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS). At times we will refer the clients to various counselors or psychologists in the local areas, if needed for further therapy. We also do the pre surgical Psychiatric Assessments for the Gastric Bypass Surgery, surgery to implant Morphine Pump and the Spinal Cord Stimulator for the management of the chronic pain. We are open Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) 8 AM to 430 PM with half an hour lunch break between 12 PM and 2 PM. If it is a weekend the refills may not be processed until next working day. You may contact your pharmacy as some of them may fill 2-3 days prescriptions in emergency situations, at your request. Please bring the following with you:1) A Photo ID ( on your first visit).2) Insurance Cards (on your first visit and also notify any changes during subsequent visits).3) And any Co pays/ Deductibles to be paid at the time of service (for all visits).4) Please bring a list or all your current medications with you (for all visits). Please notify the staff if any changes in your health insurance, as you may be responsible for the payments if your insurance does not pay for the services.
